TAFE SA English Language Centre - Delivering the AMEP Program has been South Australia's premier and largest English language centre for over 60 years. Our main campus is in the city and our other centres and community classes are conveniently located throughout the metropolitan and country areas of South Australia.
ELC AMEP is part of TAFESA and is an accredited Registered Training Organisation. It is funded by the Australian Federal Government to deliver the national Adult Migrant English Program through the Department of Education and Training.
Our Courses and Services
ELC AMEP courses suit beginner to intermediate students and are nationally accredited and approved. We offer
- English courses for migrants and refugees
- settlement courses which provide information about life in Australia
- a pathways course which prepares students for jobs or vocational training
- computer suites, free Internet access, a comprehensive library and student cafeteria and lounges where students can relax and meet each other
- free childcare services
- counselling and referral services
- home tutor services
- tutor training
- a citizenship course
Courses are held in the classroom or at home (with the help of a tutor).
Students may study at times to suit them, day or evening.
